10th Annual Down East Spring Birding Festival This Weekend

The annual Down East Spring Birding Festival is set for this Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27. It's a bird lovers' chance for a unique birding experience during spring migration and the breeding season.The four-day festival will feature self-guided explorations, guided hikes, boat tours and presentations led by local experts.

Activities will be held in Moosehead National Wildlife Refuge, Roosevelt Campobello International Park, Shackford Head and Quoddy Head State Parks.

The boat tours will include a puffin trip to Machias Seal Island.

See a great variety of birds in special habitats during spring migration and breeding season, including Atlantic Puffins, bald eagles, nesting waterfowl and many more.
