Twelve people were arrested on drug-related charges in Augusta today (Dec. 20) following a several month investigation into the sale of crack cocaine and heroin in Augusta and mid-coast area.

According to MDEA Commander Peter Arno, Maine Drug Enforcement Agents, along with law enforcement from the Augusta Police Department, Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department and the Maine State Police searched five different locations in the city this morning (Dec. 20) after search warrants had been issued . The investigation focused on the sale of heroin and crack by out of state drug traffickers using various Augusta locations. The investigation included the undercover purchase of heroin from the group, according to the MDEA release.

Agents searched at the following Augusta addresses: 42 Mt. Vernon Ave, Apt. A; 38 Water Street, Apt. 5; 9 Bond Street, Apt. 1; and at 2 rooms inside an Augusta motel, which is not being named by the MDEA.

Agents seized approximately 50 grams of crack cocaine, 12 grams of heroin, 5 handguns (1 confirmed to be stolen) and approximately $4,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales. The street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $10,000.

According to the MDEA the following people have been charged:

  • Emanuel Rocque- 39, of Augusta. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated due to the presence of a handgun
  • Dalene Black- 34, of Augusta. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated due to the presence of a handgun.
  • Philip Theriault- 43, of Augusta. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated because the trafficking occurred within a designated “drug free safe zone”.
  • Jessie Clark- 34, of Augusta. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated because the trafficking occurred within a designated “drug free safe zone”.
  • Corey Collamore- 30, of China, Maine.  Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated because the trafficking occurred within a designated “drug free safe zone”.
  • Dixie Gauthier- 38, of Wiscasset. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated because the trafficking occurred within a designated “drug free safe zone”.
  • Lisa Gosselin- 41, of Wiscasset. Charged with Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. This charge was aggravated because the trafficking occurred within a designated “drug free safe zone”.
  • Michael Gregg- 51, of Augusta. Charged with Class C possession of Schedule W Drugs.
  • Jordan Ascencio- 20, of Roxbury, Mass. Charged with Class B conspiracy to traffic in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin/Crack).
  • Sergio Figueroa- 21, of Roxbury, Mass. Charged with Class B conspiracy to traffic in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin/Crack).
  • Jose Lewis Figueroa- 24, of Roxbury, Mass. Charged with Class B conspiracy to traffic in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin/Crack).
  • Kidante Roberts- 21, of Boston, Mass. Charged with Class B conspiracy to traffic in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin/Crack).

All were transported to the Kennebec County Jail. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are likely, according to the DEA.
