I Scream for Ice cream

Summertime in Maine means a lot of things and it seems like one the favorites is going to get ice cream. As kids we remember getting in the car and heading out to get that special treat with the whole family. Still today, kids love to get ice cream. It seems one of the only times you can get the whole family to agree on one thing.

The saying 'I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream' still rings true today. I found that saying dates back to 1925 and a song by the same title was made. It was done by Waring's Pennsylvanians. The band wasn't necessarily from the Pa. area but Waring did go to college at Penn State. The song is old and fuzz and no where near today's sound, but it has fun lyrics and they make it funny.
