The Eli Young Band guys have fought their way to the top, living on the road, playing show after show until their name was printed in the No. 1 slot on a Billboard chart. The group now has three of those coveted honors under their belts for songs like 'Crazy Girl.'

The band got its start at North Texas State University in 2000, where all four members -- Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson -- began playing together and hitting the road around the Lone Star State to build a following. And build a following they did, slowly but surely. Their passionate and energetic performances helped the foursome climb the ranks as they won over fans town by town, showing audiences what country is all about.

In 2011, the Eli Young Band was signed to Republic Nashville and released their fourth studio album, 'Life at Best.' 'Crazy Girl,' the album’s first single, went double-platinum and was named the most-played country song of the year on Billboard's end of the year charts. It also won an ACM award for Song of the Year. The Eli Young Band were officially on the map.

Though it seems fairly unlikely to outdo that kind of success on a second single, EYB made it happen. ‘Even if It Breaks Your Heart’ was also a No. 1 hit and even earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song, along with ACM and CMA noms.

The band’s second album with Republic Nashville, their fifth studio album as a band, was no sophomore slump. The band collaborated with some of the best writers in Nashville, as well as each other, to create an album filled with well-written, quality tunes. '10,000 Towns' debuted in 2013 with the single ‘Drunk Last Night,’ which hit No. 1 on the country airplay chart.

Taste of Country will be host to the Eli Young Band among many other talented artists at the Taste of Country Music Festival, June 12-14 in Hunter Mountain, New York.
