Up-and-comer from across the pond Sasha McVeigh is a young singer-songwriter on the brink of a breakthrough.

Though she grew up in rural England, McVeigh appropriately started her professional career Nashville. In 2012 the artist visited Music City and was welcomed with open arms, playing notable venues like Tootsies Orchid Lounge and the Bluebird Cafe. Her success during that trip inspired her to record an acoustic EP during one of many subsequent trips, and her country music career was born.

McVeigh has completed two successful summer tours in 2013 and 2014, participating in some of the largest country music festivals around the U.S., as well as the ACM Kick-Off Party in Las Vegas.

Since then she has gained significant airplay in the U.K., particularly on BBC Radio, and in late 2014 she recorded her first full-length, full band album. The first single, "Someone to Break My Heart," was released in April 2015, and the album, I Stand Alone is to be released in June, just in time for her to play new music at the Taste of Country Music Festival.

McVeigh's folksy sound and smoky voice is a unique addition to the country music landscape, and she will be one to watch at the Taste of Country Music Festival June 12-14, 2015 in Hunter Mountain, NY. Buy tickets here!
