Country music fans had plenty of reasons to tune into the 2019 Grammy Awards: Numerous artists from the country and Americana genres took the stage during the all-genre awards show on Sunday night (Feb. 10).

Both Dan + Shay and Brandi Carlile were onstage for performances during the televised ceremony. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney sang their hit song "Tequila" during the show; it was nominated twice this year. Carlile, meanwhile, was the most-nominated woman at this year's Grammys, thanks to her 2018 album By the Way, I Forgive You and its standout track "The Joke," which she performed during the show.

Perhaps the biggest country music moment of the 2019 Grammy Awards, though, was a tribute to the iconic Dolly Parton, who is the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year. In addition to Parton herself, the musical tribute also featured Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Little Big Town, along with pop star Katy Perry. Musgraves also performed solo during the show as well.

The 2019 Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. Prior to the televised ceremony, a pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony takes place earlier in the day.
