Target stores have not been having any luck lately naming their products; first they made the mistake of naming plus size dresses ‘Manatee Grey’, and got a lot of flak about that, now they have named a line of sandals ‘Orina’. The word translates to ‘urine’ in Spanish. The shoes have been on sale since February but the labels have started to change. There is a large number of Spanish speaking customers at Target, so the will change the name.

Target says they originally choose the name because of the meaning in the Russian language; it translates to ‘peace’ or ‘peaceful’. About a week ago they realized their mistake and are in the process of changing the name on the sandals that are on the shelf at Target stores and the online sales have been halted for the time being.
