The 7th annual Benton Alewife Festival will be held Saturday, May 19th, at the Fun Park in Benton.

Festivities get underway at 11 a.m. all type of activities planned. Free face painting, popcorn, baloons and samples of smoked alewife. There will also be a bounce house and miniture golf.

Entertainment from Pan Fried Steel Band plus an appearance from the Lawrence High School mascott Larry the Bull Dog. The Fairfield/Benton Fire Department, Kennebec Country Sheriff Department and Deltas Ambulance will be there too.

At 5:30 that evening at Benton Elementary School will be 'eating with elewives where you can get a lobster/chicken & alewife dinner for $17. (get tickets at the Benton Town Office)\
