A Sister Living Among Brothers

You've been thinking about it all day. That delicious something sitting in the fridge waiting for you after a long day... By the time I get there, it's gone! Brothers are human garbage disposals; they eat anything and everything in sight. I used to hide treats I wanted to save in the fruits & veggies bin because I knew they'd never look there.

Brushing your teeth, about to pee your pants, or needing a shower. Don't you worry! Every time you need the bathroom, you better believe one of your siblings is already in there and will be for what seems like forever... and it never smells good once you do get your turn.

Oh... I see you're sitting down about to watch your favorite show... let me just take that remote and put it on the basketball game for just a minute.

Remember all those times you go to continue watching your favorite Netflix series and for no apparent reason it skips ahead 4 episodes? Guess who decided he wanted to watch the same thing on your account!

The kitchen table, the couch, the porch, the seat you were just sitting in and have all of your things set up next to, has just been stolen. I can't even imagine how many times I've said, "That's my spot" and gotten the reply, "You got up.."

Brothers always assume that us girls can't do anything for ourselves. They go on and on about... wait I don't really know what needs to be fixed on my car, but that's what a mechanic is for! I don't need your help!

It was always tough to bring any boy to meet the family from fear of embarrassment. Thankfully, I found Zack who seems to get along with them great... Except Zack joins in! Now when I get picked on it's 3 vs 1 instead of 2 vs 1!

And.... to top it all off! You have a friend over and they insist on using the sentence "your brother is cute", which in turn makes you gag...

When I was younger I hated that my name was Jennifer. So, of course, that is exactly what my brothers have always called me when they're in the mood to pester.

Boogers. Noogies. Farts. And everything smelly comes with having brothers.
