Looks like John Cusack is out and 'Parks and Recreation' star Adam Scott is in for 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2.'

The Wrap reports that 'Parks and Recreation' star (and fake boyfriend to women everywhere) Adam Scott is closing in on a deal to lead the cast of 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2,' which should serve as an acceptable forum for his notoriously amazing reaction-faces. Scott will join returning 'Hot Tub Time Machine' stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke in the sequel, in which he will be playing an entirely new lead character and not replacing John Cusack's from the original. Director Steve Pink will also return to helm the new entry.

The first film followed a man and his nephew and friends as they entered a magical hot tub and were transported back to 1986, where they were confronted with your typical time travel movie tropes, like making sure you don't inadvertently change history, what happens when you meet your mom and she tries to have sex with you, and Crispin Glover.

'Hot Tub Time Machine' was a modest success for the studio when it was released, and found a greater audience on home video and on cable, though the humor has had little staying power. Perhaps a sequel and a new leading man will prove more entertaining.
