‘American Idol’ Contestant That Grew Up In Bethel Makes ‘Hollywood Week’

Season 14 of 'American Idol' is at the point of the show where the hundreds that passed their initial audition get whittled down to the final 24 during 'Hollywood Week'.

One contestant with ties to Bethel, Maine is part of the experience of 'Hollywood Week' on 'American Idol'. Chandler Leighton, 19, moved to Bethel from Los Angeles, California in 2003 with her mother Melissa Arnson. Chandler's mom was a 1976 graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel and moved back to work at the school.

Chandler attended Crescent Park School in Bethel from second through fifth grades, before returning to L.A.

We'll be keeping an eye on Chandler and rooting for her to make the final 24!
