Boston season opener is one week away! Join B-98.5 for the BoSox season opener against the Yankees, with our live broadcast at the Point Afta in Winslow. The fun starts April 1st at 1p.m. Back to the business at hand, my baseball predictions. Let's take a look at the AL Central.

1. Detriot Tigers - This team is stacked on offense, the reigning mvp, Miguel Cabrera could be baseball's best hitter. The offense doesn't stop with him, add Prince Fielder and the return of Victor Martinez and this team will score runs. The pitching is good too, with Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer leading the rotation. Their only weakness, is team speed and defense.

2.Cleveland Indians - Red Sox old manager, Terry Francona, leads the team this season. They are my surprise team of 2013. I like the mix of young players with added veterans to the roster. Nick Swisher, Michael Bourne and Carlos Santana are a good core on offense. Maybe a wild card playoff birth for Cleveland.

3. Kansas City Royals - Another team that is on the rise. They have plenty of young players that have been together for a few years now. I see them getting better, Eric Hosmer, Alex Gordon, Salvador Perez and Billy Butler lead the offense. The pitching staff adds James Shields, but is still the teams weak link.

4. Chicago White Sox - This team always seems to under achieve. They could finish as high as second but I'll have them slipping to fourth. The offense is lead by aging big bats of Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn. The pitching staff is lead my Chris Sale, but many question marks after that, with John Danks, Gavin Floyd and often injured Jake Peavy.

5. Minnesota Twins - A team with Joe Mauer ,Justin Morneau and Josh Willingham will score some runs, the question mark is with the young pitching staff. The Twins always seem to stay in contention and could finish higher.

Tomorrow, I'll break down the AL East!
