Andy Capwell’s Vacation: Involves Major Dental Work
I'll will be 'on vacation' starting this Tuesday, however this vacation will be far from fun. Over the years my teeth have deteriorated to the point where I am today. I will begin the process of getting false teeth this Tuesday.
It all begins this Tuesday morning at 8:15 with Dr. Winnie at Facial and Oral Surgery in Augusta. I will be getting all of my teeth extracted. I am very nervous with having to get anesthesia and of course the pain that will be associated with the procedure.
Once I am healed from the extraction of the teeth, I will be getting the false teeth with Capitol Dental Care on State Street in Augusta with Dr. Cutri.
It's going to be a long process, with temp plates for a while and then the permanent false teeth.
I am concerned with how soon will I be able to talk normally? It is kind of important with my job! I am also concerned on how quickly I will be able to get use to wearing them. But for now, my biggest concern is the extractions. I really loathe needles and pain!
I want to thank the listeners who have shown me great support and all of my co-workers who are 100% behind me.
I know that the end result will be well worth it. I have never been a very confident person, but with my teeth in as bad shape as they are now, I try to cover my mouth when I talk to people or I look down as I talk to them. I never smile or if I do, I just look really weird!
That is the thing I am looking forward to the most is being able to smile again.
I hope to be back in just one week after the work has begun and I will be sharing my journey through this process on our website and Capitol Dental Care's website.
So that's what I will be up to while I am gone 'on vacation' next week.
Again, thanks for all of your support!
