Fenway Park is the home field of the Boston Red Sox and dates back quite a way and there has been many highlights over the years the old ball park has seen.

On April 20th, 1912 the Red Sox won their first official game at Fenway over the New York Highlanders (who became the Yankees) 7-6 in 11 innings. 27,000 fans saw Tris Speaker drive in the winning run.

It was on this day, April 26th, 1912 the first home run was hit at Fenway Park. It was a game against the Philadelphia Phillies when first baseman Hugh Bradley hit it over the left field wall. It was Bradley’s first home run at Fenway, his second overall and his last in his Major League career.
