Arrest Made In Augusta Murder

The Maine State Police have arrested an Augusta man in connection with the Nov. 13 murder of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jillian Jones.

According to Steve McCausland of the Maine Department of Public Safety, state police arrested Justin Pillsbury, 38, as he was being released from MaineGeneral Hospital on Friday afternoon (Nov. 15). Pillsbury has been charged with murder.

McCausland said Pillsbury was in the hospital for treatment of self-inflicted stab wounds. He was scheduled to be taken to the Kennebec County Jail and will likely make his first appearance in an Augusta courtroom either Monday or Tuesday.
