Arrows Near Gas Gauge Secret to Gas Cap Location

I know there will someone reading going “duh, Renee, everyone knew that!” No. Not everyone. I have two vehicles and one has a gas cap on the right and the other is on the left. It is a source of ongoing confusion in my world.  Little did I know the answer has been, literally, right in front of my face!

Look at it! Right there! Look at the arrow next to the little gas pump icon thinger.  On newer vehicles it points to the side of the gas cap location. I fancy myself a clever little elf, and I did not know this until recently.  So next time you are in a different vehicle or a rental car, you will be able to know which side of the gas pump to park your ride.
