Legendary debuted the first trailer (and poster!) for their upcoming horror flick 'As Above, So Below,' which takes found footage below ground and deep into the heart of the creepy catacombs of Paris. And while found footage has certainly been wearing out its welcome, the idea of a horror movie taking place in the catacombs is enough to pique our interest.

Featuring 'Mad Men' star Ben Feldman, the found-footage film explores some new territory by taking the action to the catacombs underneath the streets of Paris, which are already creepy enough without adding ghosts and what not to the mix. So while the found-footage concept is admittedly getting a bit tiresome, we're still interested in the setting and the story.

The film comes courtesy of John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, who brought us 'Quarantine' and the lesser 'Devil.'

The official synopsis:

Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the secret of what this city of the dead was meant to contain. A journey into madness and terror, 'As Above, So Below' reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

'As Above, So Below' hits theaters on August 15. Check out the poster below:
