Atari, the video game pioneer that introduced the first video game ‘Pong’ and favorites such as ‘Centipede,’ has been at the bottom of the video game world in recent years. Atari’s U.S. operation has filed for bankruptcy after reporting significant loses in 2012.

Atari’s parent company in France is filing also and the U.S. Company is trying to separate themselves as the American company has been performing better. In filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York, Atari said they were $5.25 million in debt.
