An Augusta man has pleaded guilty to production of child pornography and to possession of child pornography. 35-year-old Wade Robert Hoover is now looking at a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years for the production of child pornography charge.

Hoover admitted recording himself sexually assaulting one of his karate students and using his employer's Internet connection to distribute the images. According to the Kennebec Journal, Hoover used to work for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Maine in the Augusta office as the veterans' support coordinator. He also worked with kids as the owner and chief instructor at Koshowarrior's Martial Arts and the United Martial Arts academies in Lewiston.
