Augusta Man Sentenced For Growing Marijuana At Augusta State Airport
Marion Cloutier, 48, of Augusta,Maine was sentenced on Monday to two years in federal prison after being arrested in 2012 for growing 148 marijuana plants inside a secured, fenced-in area at the Augusta State Airport.Cloutier has quite the criminal record, including a state conviction of six counts of arson in 1992 and a burglary conviction. The arson convictions came with Cloutier having to repay more than $126,000 in restitution. Cloutier had told police that he had planned to sell the marijuana because he needed the money.
