Augusta Police Chief and His Wife Injured In Motorcycle Accident

Augusta police chief Robert Gregoire and his wife Cathy were injured when the motorcycle they were riding crashed on Saturday during a charity event in Jay, Maine.

Sgt. Christopher Shaw also crashed his bike during the same Shriners ride in Jay.

All three were treated for their injuries. Augusta City Manager William Bridgeo said in an e-mail the Gregoire and his wife's injuries 'were not that serious'. Mayor Mark O'Brien added that the injuries do not appear life threatening.
