One of the reasons why Marvel's films are so successful is the way that they're all so beautifully connected to one another, with bits of plot and characters overlapping, and everything so meticulously planned. Here's another connection for you: director James Gunn says his upcoming 'Guardians of the Galaxy' will be connected to 'Avengers 3' -- you read that correctly: not 'Age of Ultron,' but the third film.
Marvel continues to tease out bits and pieces from upcoming superhero space epic 'Guardians of the Galaxy' following last month's debut of the first trailer. The latest batch of photos take us both in front of and behind the scenes with Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and his crew as they suit up and prepare for some intergalactic action.
Of all the marketing materials released for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' these new photos have to be our favorite. Shown as a timeline highlighting important moments in mutant history (and throughout the 'X-Men' films) that are integral to the plot of the upcoming sequel, the photos place the characters in the context of historical events, both real and fictional, and provide a haunting background for the events that follow in the new film.
The first 'I Origins' trailer has arrived, and the film seems like a suitable follow-up from the team of writer/director Mike Cahill and star Brit Marling, who first worked together a couple of years ago on 'Another Earth.' The pair have returned with another strange but seemingly less subdued sci-fi outing, this time with former 'Boardwalk Empire' star Michael Pitt in the leading role, and a whole lot of eyeballs.
Following some sneak peeks at 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' DreamWorks has unleashed the first full trailer for the upcoming sequel, which finds Viking Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) -- a little older, a little scrappier -- and his loyal dragon Toothless going on a dangerous new adventure to protect men and dragons alike from a new threat. And there are so. Many. More. Dragons!
Maybe you find yourself listening to the 'Game of Thrones' theme song and thinking it's missing something, and if you're a particularly creative individual, maybe you think that something is farm animals. We've heard many variations on the 'Game of Thrones' theme song, from vintage video game recreations to the kid stars of the show singing it themselves, but believe us, you've never heard anything as weird (and hilarious) as the 'Game of Thrones' theme song when it's sung by goats. Ladies and gentlemen, this is 'Game of Goats.'
Bryan Singer is back to helm 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' and in this new featurette, we hear from the director himself on why he's thrilled to return to the franchise. Yeah, that's great and all, but even better is getting a glimpse at some footage from the upcoming sequel, which unites both the classic 'X-Men' cast and the new, younger cast in a time-traveling adventure to stop a common threat. While Quicksilver's busy chomping on burgers in those Carl Jr. ads, Wolverine and Professor X have some real work to do.
If Hollywood can count on anything, it's nostalgia, which is why it shouldn't be a surprise that there's a 'Goonies' sequel on the way -- yes, even 28 years later. Director Richard Donner is planning to reunite the original cast for a sequel to the cult classic film because Goonies never say die and all that.
'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' was a successful film -- so wildly and bafflingly successful, in fact, that its sequel, 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,' now has an official release date. Grab your calendars and a marker and quietly cry as you circle the day where you will be reminded of our failures as a human race.
Following yesterday's debut of a new 'Godzilla' TV spot (and photos), Legendary has released yet another one, proving that the epic monster truly is unstoppable. The above spot features even more footage of Godzilla's insane and unbelievable path of destruction, and we simply cannot wait to watch this big guy in action on the biggest screen possible.
