Tom Cruise and science fiction are a powerful combination. Although the opening weekend of 'Oblivion' didn't break any records big or small, it's a more than solid start for a non-franchise, non-sequel, non-reboot. That's a sad statement on the current state of Hollywood, but that's another topic for another day.
After last year's 'Men in Black 3' and this year's 'After Earth,' it looks like America's favorite superstar, AKA, Will Smith, may leap back into "serious" acting for a bit, putting aside blockbusters in favor of something a little meatier. Currently under his consideration are the Hurricane Katrina story 'American Can' and the action drama 'The Accountant.'
We all saw Clark Gregg's Agent Phil Coulson die a heroic death in 'The Avengers,' so we're still not quite sure how he's part of the cast for ABC's upcoming 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' This Thursday, stand up comedian (and one of the funniest men alive) Patton Oswalt guest stars on NBC's beloved 'Parks and Recreation' as a Pawnee, Indiana citizen who attempts to block a city council vote with a lengthy filibuster. Asked to talk at length about whatever he wanted by the producers, Oswalt decided to rant about 'Star Wars Episode 7' and the results are bizarre and glorious as he spins off into 'The Avengers' and 'X-Men' and much much more. Check it out below.
This is the trailer you've been waiting for!
Although 'Monsters University' reunites much of the original cast of 'Monsters, Inc.,' plenty of new voices have been added to the mix, making this one of the most star-studded Pixar movie to date. Heck, it's DreamWorks-esque how many big names are associated with this movie. The voice actors involved have been slowly revealed over the past few months, but a few more were announced today, including John Krasinski and Nathan Fillion.
The last couple of 'Star Trek Into Darkness' posters have showcased the crew of the Enterprise (and the ship itself) in a variety of dangerous situations, and now we have the man responsible for putting them all in danger in the first place. Yep, you've guessed it: Benedict Cumberbatch's mystery villain now has a poster of his own.
After all of the excitement that came with its announcement, things have gotten very quiet on the 'Star Wars Episode 7' front. However, pages from a mysterious 'Star Wars' project titled 'Star Wars: Reclamation' have appeared online, suggesting that Disney may have more in the works than we know about.
