The Capital Region Salvation Army is having a Red Kettle Blitz Day on December 11th 9am to 7pm! This will be happening at the Augusta Walmart. On December 11th it will all about the Red Kettles. The Capital Region Salvation Army serves Augusta, Sidney, Hallowell, Winslow, Chelsea and Waterville so this REALLY helps our community.

Bread of Life Ministries Adopt-A-Room Project for the Homeless Shelter

I love this idea. I love ideas that really help people and are do-able. This is such situation. Being without a home is hard. Everything about it is hard. So, the Bread of Life Ministries wishes to create a culture of dignity and hope, and respect for their clients. The shelter is well used and as a result NEEDS a face lift. So, they have a great plan.

Oakland Teen Died + Her Boyfriend Seriously Injured in Mechanic Falls Hayride Accident

Investigators are blaming a mechanical problem for the Halloween-themed hayride crash in Mechanic Falls that killed 17-year-old Cassidy Charette of Oakland and injured many others. The state fire marshal's office says investigators are trying to figure out exactly why the Jeep towing the hay wagon wouldn’t or couldn’t stop, going down a hill in the woods and struck a tree Saturday night.
