Controversy Over Snodeo – Should it go on While Snowmobilers are Missing in Rangeley Lake?

This year’s Snodeo in Rangeley is scheduled for the end of this month. The controversy comes from the fact that three snowmobilers went through the ice on December 30th and their bodies have yet to be recovered from the lake. Some feel that having Snodeo is disrespectful and others feel it is appropriate.

Summit Natural Gas Wins Pipeline Bid

It took a while, but Summit Natural Gas has received approval from the Maine Public Utilities Commission to start is pipeline. Summit is one of two distributors who wanted to be the one to supply natural gas to business and residential customers in the Kennebec Valley. Now that they have PUC approval, they are planning a four-year project of pipeline infrastructure in the Kennebec Valley.
