Investigators are blaming a mechanical problem for the Halloween-themed hayride crash in Mechanic Falls that killed 17-year-old Cassidy Charette of Oakland and injured many others. The state fire marshal's office says investigators are trying to figure out exactly why the Jeep towing the hay wagon wouldn’t or couldn’t stop, going down a hill in the woods and struck a tree Saturday night.
This is a tragic story. A teenager is dead and two others are in critical condition after a Halloween-themed hay ride careened down a hill and crashed in the woods. The accident occurred at Harvest Hills Farm in Mechanic Falls.
I was so very excited to see this on Facebook…The Red Barn Cares Foundation has named the people and groups that will benefit from their efforts….and here is it….Congratulations to all!! Check out the list right here!
Check out this story about a woman who asked the questions about her health insurance purchase. She wanted and needed a policy that covered her out of state. She asked about it. She was comfortable with the answers. BUT the answers were WRONG! They gave her the wrong answers. This is a smart woman. She has a master’s degree and multiple post-graduate courses within public health, so she knows a little something.

OK. It has been almost a year of tests and treatments and cancer stuff. WELL, we just learned that Patrick, my boyfriend, is now CANCER FREE! He is not cured. Only a bone marrow transplant would do that, but with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment can kick it back and keep it in check. SO, to the Harold Alfond Center For Cancer Care staff, thank you for all you did for Patrick and for me. Perfect time to talk about centers Cancer Survivors Day on Sept 13th!!!
Hello Kitty is not a cat. She is a little girl. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY WORLD?? All this is according to Christine R. Yano, an anthropologist with the University of Hawaii who is curator of a Hello Kitty retrospective at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles in October. She told this to the Los Angeles Times. Hello? Her name is Kitty. She has whiskers and pointy cat ears. Well, whatever she is or is not. I still love Hello Kitty.
