Join me as the host of the Morning Buzz with Randy McCoy, weekday mornings from 5am to 9am. I also can be heard on Sundays from 10-noon. Make sure you come by to meet me at many of our live local broadcasts.
The Morning Buzz and B98.5 are witching you a very haunted Halloween. With all the excitement that comes with Trick or Treating, we want you to remember to be safe. Here are a few tips from the CDC that you should use while you are out and about this evening.
Brittany Maynard has recently shared her story about suffering from terminal brain cancer. After being diagnosed on January 1, 2014, she was informed she only had less than a year to survive. Worried about the pain and suffering she would endure in her final months, she moved to a state that had the Death with Dignity law. Brittany has chosen November 1, 2014 to die.
I was recently contacted by the Waterville Humane Society to foster some kittens. How in the world could I possibly say no? After talking about it with my 4 year-old and explaining that we would NOT be keeping them, she agreed to these terms.
B98.5, along with the Maine Education Credit Union, are honoring area teachers with the Bee Teacher of The Month! There are so many teachers that deserve recognition for all of their hard work they do teaching our children. Nominate your favorite teacher today!
If you do, or if you don't, or if you are unsure then you need to go to the Haunting at the Hill Mansion. The event will be on Halloween starting at 6pm. There will be a 60's theme costume contest and a Beach Boys tribute band playing some great music from 8pm-11pm.
We had the pleasure of having some great guests on the Morning Buzz this morning. Kennebec and Somerset Counties District Attorney, Maeghan Maloney and Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster from the Somerset County Sheriff's Department were here to talk about The Ankle Monitoring Program. Also, Jon Heath from the Family Violence Project was here as well.
...THERE IS NO SECRET! It's scary and awesome and ragged and perfect and always changing. There is no right or wrong way to do it. I'm so blessed to have so many children in my life. Each one brings a smile to face in their own crazy, silly, hectic, annoying, "I can't believe you just said that" kind of way.
Oh my goodness! Temptations are everywhere. I certainly can't even hide from them. You'd think a plain ol studio would be a safe place. Nope, no way. Not when you have wonderful people like, Deb, from Heavenly Delights who drop off a box of fantastic yumminess.
It is that time again, we will be selecting a Teacher of the Month. Congratulations to our current teacher, Mrs. Rachel Roberge from St. John Catholic School in Winslow. Somebody nominated her and then she was selected. Very easy and it's always nice to be recognized for your hard word. Teachers play such important roles in the lives of our children.
...and if that's the case then you're going first! You have 3 more nights left to get on over to the Pittston Fairgrounds for The Town of Terror!! (insert evil laugh) You can get in on the frights tonight, tomorrow night and then on Halloween.
