Chad's FAVORITE dessert is brownies. The best cookbook I have found I bought about 5 years ago on a discount rack. The Mrs. Field's Best Cookie Book Ever! is my go to book for great recipes and there are 130 of them. So many cookies...so little time!
October 19, 2012 Who doesn't remember 'Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox'? Come on, if you don't you're lying! One of the coolest songs EVER! And the video made the song even better! A take-off of 'Weekend at Bernies' had me laughing from the very first time I saw it!
October 19, 2012 This is the fourth time we have partnered with the KVYMCA with their 'Lose It With the Y' program. It's the end of the third week and today is our third weigh-in. Our trainer Alicia Rice is amazing! Not only does she come up with something different every week for us to do, but she does it with a smile! She is definitely a motivator!
That's what I like! A trainer who is excited to see us and wants to see us succeed! Many times people do the same routine over and over again and they become bored with it and tend to stop altogether. The key is to switch it up!

You may not remember from the late 1980s but he is all around us in the country music world. I know him so well, I can listen to a song and KNOW Skip Ewing wrote it by the subject matter, the wording of the song, the message his music conveys. He really is amazing.
October 18, 2012 Sometimes shopping with children isn't the easiest thing to do (think a grocery store with 3 energetic kids). But when you are just as excited to go somewhere as they are, it makes a difference!
The Spirit Halloween store in the Shaw's Plaza on KMD in Waterville is so much fun to explore! The kids couldn't decide what they wanted to be there were so many choices. I was wondering if they would be the standard things like ghosts, vampires, zombies which are all very popular right now. Well each kid has their own personality.
October 17, 2012 Could this get any more fun? My friend Christy used a picture of this cake as her Facebook banner. And right away I said "I need to make this!"
It is so simple a child could do it...and he literally did! I baked and frosted the cake, Anderson decorated it!
October 16, 2012 Growing up in the 80s, country music was quite different than it is today. I remember sitting up in my room listening to the countdown and finding out where all my favorite songs were on the chart. Back then, I had a typewriter (anyone remember those?) and would type the entire countdown and keep them in a drawer. 4 hours every Saturday morning my parents knew exactly where I was: dancing around my bedroom with my hairbrush in my hand singing at the top of my lungs. Good thing our house was well insulated.
Ricky Skaggs was very influential to me.
October 16, 2012 We've all played it. Your parents probably introduced it to you when you were small. Or maybe it happened when your friends got their first car in high school and you went driving around with them for the first time at night. And, you admit, sometimes it got out of hand.
But one thing was for sure...it was fun!

I love my Pampered Chef stoneware and try and find a chance to use it as much as possible. So, with the rainy Sunday we had, I decided to brighten the house's spirits with a little yummy dessert!
