Belfast And Moosehead Lake Railroad Restarting Operations This Weekend

Spring has been slow to arrive in Central Maine this year, but here's a sure sign that warm, sun-filled days are on the way. The Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad will be restarting operations this Saturday, April 27th.The Brooks Preservation Society's Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad will start up the season with work trains and special runs will be run from Belfast and Burnham Junction.

Regular passenger trains will begin Memorial Day Weekend out of City Point Museum in Belfast and run through mid-October. Trains run from Belfast to Waldo and trips last for about an hour.

The season features special theme trains, fall foliage trains and checkout the rail bikes!
