Blake Shelton has some celebrating to do this week, as he just notched his twelfth consecutive No. 1 single!

The country star made history by marking the most consecutive No. 1s in monitored country airplay history with 'My Eyes,' featuring 'The Voice' competitor Gwen Sebastian. Amazingly, Shelton actually broke his own record -- earlier in 2014, 'Doin' What She Likes' nabbed the title as the eleventh No. 1 single in a row.

Overall, 'My Eyes' -- the fifth single off 'Based on a True Story...' -- is Shelton's seventeenth No. 1 hit, which shows just how popular the hitmaker is among country fans. The latest song has proven to be one of his fastest-rising singles to date, as it reached the top of the chart in a remarkably short 11 weeks.

'My Eyes' may be super steamy, but Sebastian explains that her relationship with Shelton is akin to a brother-sister bond ... but she quickly got used to singing those provocative lyrics to her former coach on 'The Voice.' She also recently talked about the possibility of 'My Eyes' going No. 1, explaining that "if it doesn't, it's my fault." Thankfully, Sebastian's talent combined with Shelton's equaled a No. 1 hit.

Currently, Shelton is on his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014, which will stop at Wrigley Field and Madison Square Garden along the way. The show hit the road a week ago with the Band Perry, Dan + Shay, and Neal McCoy playing as openers. The tour runs through the beginning of October, ending in Los Angeles, Calif.
