The Maine State Police say it's likely that the body of a man pulled from the Kennebec River in the Pittston area is a man from the central Maine area who was reported missing a week ago.Steve McCausland, spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety, told the Kennebec Journal, that police are not releasing the name until they contact the man's family.

The body showed no signs of foul play and an autopsy was performed Sunday afternoon.

A missing person report was filed by the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office on September 11th of a man in his 20's that was last seen in Waterville.
