The Boston Bruins beat the Detroit Red Wings (April 26) today in Game 5 of their opening round Stanley Cup playoff series. The Bruins now advance to the second round where they will take on another 'Original Six' team, the Montreal Canadiens.

The B's move on after hanging on to beat Detroit, 4-2, taking the series 4 games to 1. They picked up goals from Loui Eriksson, Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic and Jarome Iginla, while receiving another solid effort from Tuukka Rask in net, who made 31 saves on 33 shots, for his fourth win of the postseason.

The dates and time of the next series have not yet been announced.
