Boston Celtics Get the #1 Pick in NBA Draft

The Boston Celtics are in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers and there is more good news for the Celtics, they have the number one pick in the 2017 NBA draft lottery.

The Celtics did have the best chance of getting the number one pick because of a 2013 trade with Brooklyn. This is the third year in a row that a team with the highest odds got the first pick. It doesn’t happen that way every year though because this is only the seventh time in lottery history the team with the best odds got the number one pick.

According to WCSH6.com the L.A. Lakers have the number two pick and the Sacramento Kings got the third pick overall but because of a trade with Philadelphia, the 76ers get that pick and Sacramento moves to the number five slot.
