It all starts this Friday in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Boise, Idaho…the college football bowl season gets underway! Friday at 1pm is the kickoff for the Gildan New Mexico Bowl between Nevada and Arizona and at 4:30pm the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl between Toledo and Utah State. Granted, minor bowl games but it has to get started somewhere.

Some of the better match-ups this bowls season; the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on December 20th with West Virginia and Syracuse (from Yankees stadium),  the Chick-fil-A Bowl in the Georgia Dome with LSU and Clemson, the Rose Bowl between Stanford and Wisconsin (Wisconsin’s coach just left for the head job in Arkansas),  the Orange Bowl with Florida State and Northern  Illinois (huge uproar over Northern Illinois even being in a bowl game), and the big one, the BCS National Championship game between Notre Dame and Alabama, January 7th in Miami.
