When Carrie Underwood played to an ecstatic hometown Nashville crowd over the weekend, she didn't come to the Bridgestone Arena stage without a few surprises up her sleeve. The 'Good Girl' hitmaker put on an intense concert on Sunday (Sept. 23) with five costume changes, a tornado and a flying stage. But even the songstress herself was caught off guard when Brad Paisley walked on stage to join her for a duet. The result? Endless screaming and cheering from the audience.

Underwood sang the first verse of 'Remind Me' alone, but by the time she made it to the first chorus, Paisley joined in on vocals. One concertgoer captured the moment on video, and it's obvious that the 'Good Girl' was shocked to see her friend walk on stage behind her. The blonde bombshell whipped her head around to see Paisley -- but luckily, even in her surprise, she didn't miss a beat.

Later on, Underwood confirmed that she was caught off guard when her fellow CMA Awards co-host strolled onto her stage. After Paisley tweeted "Gotcha" to Underwood, she replied, "Yes you did! Thanks for being there to sing with me tonight! What a great surprise."

According to a review in the Tennessean, the 'Remind Me' duet earned the most applause of the evening -- and that's saying something. In between her costume changes and incredible special effects, it sounds like Underwood had fans' eyebrows raising all night.

The 'Blown Away' singer is on a nationwide tour to promote her album of the same name. If all of her performances are as mind blowing as her gig at Bridgestone Arena, Underwood will have no trouble breaking records and winning awards for her fourth studio album.
