Britax, a major manufacturer of child safety seats, has announced it is recalling more than 200,000 child car seats because of a problem with harness adjuster buttons that may cause the shoulder straps to loosen.

The models of car seat recalled are the Advocate, Boulevard and Marathon ClickTight car seats, made between Aug. 1, 2014 and July 29 of this year. The company has reported that no injuries have been caused as a result of this problem.

The problem came to the company's attention after a customer posted about it on Facebook. After getting several other complaints, Britax discovered the issue. The company will send customers impacted by the recall a lubricant that can be applied to the red harness adjustor button to correct the issue.

To find out if your car seat is included in the recall, find the model and date of manufacture on the label under the car seat cover.

Here is a video produced by Britax to help identify the problem.
