OK, this is marketing gone too far! Budweiser has announced that from May 23 until the U.S. Presidential Elections, it will be changing it's name to "America."

Yes, you read that right. America.

Just in case you think this is a sick joke, we've included the official press photos from Budweiser to show you what the new cans will look like. And it's a complete change. The phrase "King of Beers" will be replaced by "E Pluribus Unum," the motto on the Great Seal of the United States, and the label will also include the lyrics to the National Anthem.

There's no word on if you'll have to stand to drink it.

Here's a look at the new bottle.

What makes this even more ironic is that Budweiser isn't even an American-owned company! The company has been owned by InBev, a BELGIAN COMPANY since 2008!

But it does make me think. Recently, here in Augusta, we had an incident where a man allegedly stole two cases of beer from Walgreens. And a look at the surveillance camera photo supplied by police clearly shows that the man was stealing Budweiser.

See for yourself.

I wonder if he would have been so quick to walk out with a couple cases of "America" without paying, because that would have just been UnBudweiserian...err, American.
