We had a blast with 'Captain America 2' and it's the kind of film that we can see ourselves watching over and over again. And, what better way to do that than with the 'Captain America 2' DVD and Blu-ray, which has officially been announced for a September 9 release date and will include an audio commentary, never-before-seen deleted scenes, a gag reel and more.

The 'Captain America 2' disc will be available in a 3D Blu-ray combo pack (which includes a copy of the movie on 3-D Blu-ray, a regular Blu-ray disc and a digital copy of the film that you can download via iTunes), standard Blu-ray and single-disc DVD.

As is par for the course for the Marvel DVDs, there will be a ton of special features, including making-of featurettes, an audio commentary with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, deleted scenes, bloopers, and much more.

UPDATE: Sorry, Marvel fans. EW reports that there will be no Marvel One-Shot short film on the 'Captain America 2' DVD and Blu-ray releases. A surprising move to say the least, as the last few release have scene 'All Hail the King' (on 'Thor: The Dark World'), 'Agent Carter' (on 'Iron Man 3') and 'Item 47' (on 'The Avengers'). No word yet on whether this means Marvel will discontinue them altogether or are simply waiting for the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' DVD, Blu-ray release.
