The Augusta Police Department are urging all residents to lock their car doors after a series of burglaries over the past few days.

Lt. Christopher Massey, told the Kennebec Journal, that a report of eight cars have been broken into since Monday. All of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the burglary.

The latest rash of car burglaries have been with cars parked on First and Windsor avenues, Sherbrook Street and Cony Road.
