Fans hoping Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban would perform together at the 2017 Grammy Awards will get their wish. The country pair will collaborate, and while the song they'll sing hasn't been revealed, we've got a few guesses.

It could be their individual Grammy-nominated songs. For Underwood that's "Church Bells," and for Urban that's "Blue Ain't Your Color." However, while it's easy to imagine Underwood joining in for the ballad's chorus, it takes creativity to believe Urban will sing a song about the death of an abusive husband without a cheeky wink at the audience and viewers at home.

In Australia the two collaborated for at least two songs. Urban brought Underwood home for his Ripcord Tour, and they teamed up to sing "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," a rock song made famous by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks. They also performed "The Fighter" live, and it's this moment fans of both artists are truly hoping for.

"The Fighter" is their duet on Urban's Grammy-nominated Ripcord album. It's not a traditional duet — Underwood only comes in during the callback portion of the chorus — but it's a fan favorite and potential next single for Urban. Introducing a new song at an awards show like the Grammys would be a risk, but one the awards show could get away with given the pair's star power and the infectious nature of the song. News that the couple would be singing together was confirmed on the 2017 Grammy website.

To land Underwood on "The Fighter," Urban tells Taste of Country he had to fly his producer to St. Louis on her only day off. Then, he watched via Skype as she cut her vocals. The 49-year-old thinks Underwood is an all-time great vocalist who can only get better.
