Some Clinics See Rise in Vasectomies During NCAA Tournament

Now that the NCAA Basketball Tournament is in full swing, men are taking the opportunity to get a vasectomy at the same time. At the Cleveland clinic they have noticed a sharp rise in the amount of vasectomies they are performing now that the tournament is underway.  According to Dr. Steven Jones there has be a 50% increase with him doing one every 15 minutes.

Cony High School in Augusta Going Above + Beyond to Help Students

Good things happening with keeping kiddos in school. The Maine Department of Education released a report recently showed that the four-year graduation rate for Maine schools rose for a third year in a row . The average is now 85.34 %. An increase is good, but there is always more work to be done.

Farmington Fire + Ice Festival Saturday, March 9

The first ever Farmington Fire and Ice Festival is set for Saturday, March 9 in downtown Farmington. The event will feature fun, family activities, including snow tubing between Front and Main streets, an ice-carving demonstration by Wicked Good Ice, dog sled rides, a road race and snowshoe races. The day will wrap up with a fireworks show at 6:20 at Prescott Field.
