March 8, 2013 It is always great to see and talk with someone that is so nice, like Elizabeth Vanderweide. I first met Elizabeth a few years ago because of the Harold Alfond College Challenge. Personally, I think she has one of the coolest jobs around. She helps people be aware and take advantage of money for secondary education.

Whether it’s encouraging women to get a mammogram or advocating for more ovarian cancer research in D.C., Miss USA is committed to fighting for every woman who is battling breast or ovarian cancer. I had the chance to talk with Chris Rhoda and his daughter Emma and Cathy Gordon, the principal of the Belgrade Central School. Belgrade Central School was the first school in Maine to have a Watch D.O.G.S. program.
