It was a beautiful day at Capitol Park today in Augusta!!  Our annual B98.5 Bee A Country Star finale was kicked off by Andy Capwell with our sound check! Then, Rebecca Pushard, from Maine Isshinryu Karate Academies, bringing a hush over the crowd as she sang the National Anthem.  Immediately following, the contest go underway and the judging began.

Congratulations to Brett 'BJ' Collier and his daughter, Aubry!  He won a brand new Smokercraft Fishing Boat along with the Tohatsu outboard motor and trailer.  We had 98 qualifiers, but there could only be one winner!  A special Thank You to Nadeau's Marine in Litchfield for hosting the crew of B98.5!

Sarah challenged McCoy to a type off to see who can type the fastest.  Sarah took typing in 6th grade, when it was a mandatory class and again in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th.  It is one of her biggest pet peeves to see people type using 2 fingers and tap tap tap along the keyboard.  McCoy does it everyday.  She even noticed her doctor does it (Sorry, Dr. Brown at Augusta Family)
