Halloween

With summer fading away, family fall fun in Maine is right around the corner. Corn mazes have really become popular and there are many of them in Maine that your family can enjoy.

I'll give you a hint and tell you I was telling the truth when I said fall is my favorite season in our contest to win Miranda Lambert tickets! I love the change in the way the air smells and feels more crisp, the vibrant colors that slowly take over the Maine outdoors, and way everything seems to pick up the pace...

I went to Shaw's in Augusta to get some lunch today (JULY 19) and a display in the middle of the floor at the front of the store caught my eye. From a distance, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, but as I got closer, it was confirmed. It was a huge display of HALLOWEEN CANDY IN JULY!

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, which means your doorbell may start ringing a lot earlier than it does when the holiday takes place during the week.

When it comes to Halloween, some places are more treat than trick.

Look, let's be honest: Halloween and drinking go together like Halloween and candy.

Granger Smith hasn't always been proud of his Halloween costume choices — in fact, one year, he admits he really embarrassed himself. Smith recently came to the ToC Nights Studio and got real with us about that awful costume from his past.

In honor of Throwback Thursday and Halloween, I am sharing a silly memory from 12 years ago.  Halloween 2003, I was very pregnant with my daughter.  I was miserable, and when I'm miserable I tend to have more of a sense of humor.  So, I insisted painting my belly and passing out candy this way.  I got a lot of chuckles.

Halloween is coming. Along with candy and costumes, tales of terror are this holiday's trademark, as this boy can surely tell you.

Horror movies don't really effect me.  Movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, SAW...they are just gruesome murder movies.  But I don't watch them and get scared.  I get a little nauseated at the thought that people thought up cruel disgusting ways to kill people.  But, I'm not 'scared'.
