Sarah Returned Early From Medical Leave – Was It The Right Choice? [VIDEO]

Usually, when someone gives you 12 weeks of medical leave, you take it.  Not me!  I decided I was tough enough to return to work 6 weeks early.  This week was my first week back on the Morning Buzz with B98.5.  Now, I'm checking in with myself to see if it was actually the right choice and if I should take some more time.  At the end of the day, my health and well-being comes first.

Sarah Thanks The One Who Changed Her Life On National Doctor Day

Just like teachers, many doctors come into and out of your life.  Some are just a hiccup through your journey and some change your life and leave a lasting impression.   I have had a handful of doctors that have put me on the right path and helped me on so many levels...especially as someone who used to suffer from debilitating anxiety.   So many deserve recognition. ..but this isn't the Academy Awards and I can't mention everyone.  But today, on National Doctor Day, I want to take the opportunity to thank the doctor who helped me conquer chiari!

Connor's Easter Egg Hunt

Sarah’s Teenagers Give Connor An Easter Egg Hunt [VIDEO]

As a mom, I couldn't be prouder.  Every year, the 'Easter Bunny' does a late night egg hunt for those too cool teenage boys, Sawyer & Dustin.  Well, this year, those teenagers showed me just how 'too cool' they really are.  This year, these two incredible kids asked if they could give their egg hunt to Connor and his sister, Natalee.

Today Connor Conquers Chiari

It's amazing how you've never heard of a disease, like Chiari Malformation,  and then suddenly two members of our community are battling it.  Kind of like buying a've never seen one then it appears everyone has one.  As I write this, I can't believe it was 12 days ago that I underwent a 10 1/2 hour procedure to conquer my own battle with chiari.

Recovery is long, but I'm doing really good.  My energy has returned.   My pressure headaches are gone.  Only 'bad' things I'm dealing with are: numb tongue, numb right thumb, hiccups whenever I eat or drink & very painful hips (associated with EDS).

Comedy Night With Krazy Jake To Benefit Connor’s Fight With Chiari
