Disc golf is one of the fastest growing recreational sports and now a local business has been chosen to host a national event. The 2016 Women's Disc Golf Championship will be held at Sabattus Disc Golf. The event is sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association, in conjunction with the Maine Sports Commission.

Maine Census Shows Most Of Maine’s Biggest Cities Losing Population

In the latest U.S. Census Bureau data, it's clear to see that central and northern Maine are generally losing population and southern and coastal Maine are increasing in population. Maine's population was estimated at 1,330,089 in 2014, that's up from 1,328, 702 in 2013.

United Relay Across America for Special Olympics to Begin in Augusta

The Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America is described as a once in a lifetime opportunity for America to unite to build communities of respect and inclusion. Over the course of 46 days, in a hand-to-hand exchange, people throughout the nation will carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope across the country and deliver it to Los Angeles for the Special Olympics Word Games. The Unified Relay will begin in Augusta on May 26.
