Maine Police to Attend Officer Rafael Ramos’ Funeral in New York City

Maine police officers officers are attending the funeral (Dec. 27) of New York Police Department Officer Rafael Ramos, who was shot and killed a week ago in Brooklyn. Ramos, 40, was killed last Saturday (Dec. 20) by a gunman who shot, him and fellow officer, 32-year-old Wenjian, in their patrol car before killing himself. Liu's funeral arrangements are still pending.

Man Accused of Killing His Grandmother in Wilton

State Police say a man is in custody and charged with murder for the death of his grandmother in Wilton. Her body was found in the backyard of the mobile home the two shared.

Police were called to the mobile home at 1130 Weld Road Saturday (Dec. 20) afternoon for a wellness check. When they arrived, they found the body of 67-year-old Joanne Goudreau in the backyard.

Maine gas prices were down eight cents per gallon in the past week, that's according to the price-monitoring website, GasBuddy.com. The average per gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.73. Nationally the average was down 8.3 per gallon for an average of $2.57.
