Country News: Blake Shelton’s Home Hit by a Truck

On the same day Blake Shelton released his latest album, Texoma Shore, someone drove a truck into his house in Oklahoma. The album was done at the studio at his lake house where someone drove their truck through the front of the home. According to tasteofcountry.com the attack wasn’t aimed at Shelton, he wasn't at the residence at the time, but the truck was sticking out of the front of his house. Shelton didn’t seem to concerned saying that’s what you have insurance for.

Country Music News: CMA’s Are Coming

This year marks the first time Brett Young received a CMA nomination. It’s for New Artist of the Year and he admits on theboot.com he’s a little nervous and excited at the same time. He’s up against Lauren Alaina, Jon Pardi, Old Dominion and Luke Combs. The 2017 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 8, at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the ceremony for the 10th year in a row.

Country News: CMA Awards Show Presenters Named

The CMA Awards on November 8th will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and now the ‘presenters’ for the show have been announced. According to theboot.com some of the people that will help hand out trophies are: Lauren Alaina, Brett Young (both New Artist of the Year Award Nominees), Trisha Yearwood, Dustin Lynch and Luke Combs. There are a lot more too including non-country stars like Tyler Perry and Jimmie Johnson.

A museum dedicated to the late great Merle Haggard is set to open in Nashville. An opening date hasn’t been released yet but the museum will feature costumes from Haggards performances, instruments and other personal items. The late Glenn Frey’s Los Angeles mansion is for sale. Frey, a member of the Eagles, and his wife bought the six-bedroom, nine-bath home in 2002 and according to theboot.com can be yours for $15 million. It’s a 9,000 square feet Spanish style villa on three-quarters of an acre. Frey died in January of 2016, due to complications from ongoing intestinal issues.
