I am really getting into some awesome songs we play here on B98.5. I'm lucky I get to hear music before the public does so when Andy plays me the songs that are due to come out I get very excited! Some of my favorite songs have joined our playlist!

Little Big Town's latest cd 'Torando' has produced the hits 'Tornado' and 'Your Side Of The Bed'. The third single going for country radio airplay is called 'Sober'.

The song 'I Will Always Love You' is one of those songs that everybody knows. It was a number one country song in 1974 by Dolly Parton and a number pop song in 1982 for Whitney Houston. That same song was performed by 'X-Factor' hopeful, Ashly Williams, last night and it has become the moment of the season so far.

When you're a great...you're a great! And one of the greatest talents that has come out of country music is none other than the lead singer of super group Alabama, Randy Owen. He's written some of Alabama's best songs! Randy is being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame along with three writers who, you know their songs, but probably never knew their names.

I sure do! I was looking back at Billboard's charts to find out what songs were playing on the radio that Summer and, sure enough, they were HUGE hits!! Take a look at the list and see if YOU remember these!

I can't decide!!!  They are both SO GOOD! 'Don't Ya' by Brett Eldredge and 'Runnin' Outta Moonlight' by Randy Houser are my FAVORITE Summer songs!! Both reached number one, although 'Don't Ya' was released in October of 2012 and FINALLY just reached #1. 'Runnin' Outta Moonlight' was released in March 2013. BOTH were co-written by Ashley Gorley. I want him to write for me!

SKOSH is a 5 piece band out of Buckfield, Maine, and they have quite the following! Think Americana, Phish and Country kinda rolled into one. Their video for their song 'Tall Grass' is pretty awesome. Check it out below!
