UPDATE: Traffic Still Snarled Due To 18 Wheeler Crash At 127 Northbound In Waterville

We have an update from the Maine Department of Public Safety on the tractor-trailer accident in Waterville.

As of 4PM, the wreck was removed and police say traffic should be returning to normal shortly.

According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesdman Steve McCausland, at 2:20PM, northbound traffic on Interstate 95 continues to be backed up in Waterville as crews begin work to remove the tractor trailer that has blocked the northbound side.

*BREAKING* 18 Wheeler Crash Causing Traffic Backup On I-95 From Farmingdale Back Through Gardiner Tolls (PHOTOS)

UPDATE 11:24AM: State Police say both northbound lanes of the Maine Turnpike in Farmingdale have reopened following this morning’s tractor trailer crash.
According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, the wreck has been removed after causing delays on both sides for nearly ten hours. The passing lane along the southbound side will remain closed throughout the day for crews to repair the median guardrail.  Both northbound lanes are expected to remain open as that work takes place during the day.
